The Porter Cable 5.5 x 7/8 Inch CCS Foam Pad Kit combines Lake Country's innovative foam compositions with a slim, low profile pad design. These foam pads maximize the performance of the Porter Cable 7424XP on all types of paint. Remove swirls and scratches, polish away oxidation, and restore a deep gloss with the Porter Cable 5.5 x 7/8 Inch CCS Foam Pad Kit.
Many detailers find that the 5.5 x 7/8 Inch CCS Smart Pads, with minimal pressure applied to them, move more efficiently at higher speeds. As a result, polishes break down with greater ease because there is less foam between backing plate and the paint to buffer heat.
This is great news for vehicles with hard, ceramic clear coats. Now you can polish scratch-resistant clear coats successfully with your user-friendly DA polisher. Even with the smaller pads, a dual action polisher is still the safest way to detail.

Porter Cable 7424XP Variable Speed Polisher
The Porter Cable 7424XP Dual Action Polisher is a beefed up, more powerful version of our most popular dual action polisher. The Porter Cable 7424XP Dual Action Polisher has all the user-friendly features of the original Porter Cable 7424, but a 4.5 amp motor enables enhanced performance and durability. The Porter Cable 7424XP Dual Action Polisher operates from 2,500 OPM to 6,800 OPM to provide a faster removal rate. The 7424XP features all ball and roller bearing construction with spiral/bevel gears and an improved switch design. The buffer accepts a 5/16-24 spindle thread. The pad diameter is 6 inches. The polisher includes a wrench, side handle, polishing pad, and an operating manual.
Dual Action 5 Inch Flexible Backing Plate
With hook facing, this plate allows you to switch pads quickly and continue polishing. A recessed edge and flexible urethane construction gives your paint extra protection from run-ins with the backing plate. Strict tolerances on weight, balance, roundness, and flatness ensure consistent performance time and time again. The backing plate has a 5/16 inch thread.
3 CCS 5.5 x 7/8 Inch Orange Light Cutting Foam Pads
The firm, high density orange foam is ideal for scratch and defect removal. Use this pad with polishes and swirl removers. It's an all around pad that will work on most light to moderate imperfections.
3 CCS 5.5 x 7/8 Inch White Polishing Foam Pads
Less dense foam formula for the application of waxes, micro-fine polishes and sealants. This pad has very light cutting power so it is perfect for pre-wax cleaners.
2 CCS 5.5 x 7/8 Inch Black Finishing Pads
Composition is firm enough to withstand added pressure during final finishing to remove buffer swirls. It has no cut and will apply thin, even coats of waxes, sealants, and glazes.
